Ever since I acquired my RAM these SiriusXM Game Score Alerts have been driving me nuts. Mostly in part because apparently its previous owner is a BoSox and Pats fan. Everytime a Red Sox or Pats game would start, a Game Alert would popup in the top left of the Uconnect display (and also everytime an Out was recorded). I searched and pressed buttons trying to figure out how to disable them. Well today I finally found the button. The Browse button right on the home screen takes you to a menu where you can select and un-select your favorite sports teams. I'm glad I can finally turn those alerts off but also feel like a jackass for not finding it sooner! Hope this helps others wondering where to find those settings.

I don't like or trust uconnect. I had the initial trial period for both sirius and uconnect. The sirius was the biggest POS ever. The music would break up at a bunch of locations around my daily drive so it was basically useless. Doing some research and being an RF engineer, I found out that when the FCC sold some frequencies some telephone toweres where interfering with the sirius radio. Seems that the radios on our trucks have bandpass filters that are too wide and allow bleed through from the adjacent RF channels being used. Instead of retrofittiing the radios, sirius is trying to make side deals with ATT and I believe others. That is why some will say "my wife's car has no problems with sirius by my truck sucks" They have better filters. Another thing about the radios is that they use 3G technology - old dinosaurs.

My last complaint is with uconnect. I turned on the trial subscription but let it lapse. I am still getting the monthly truck health report even though I am not subscribed to uconnect. Why does this bother me? Because it means that they are downloading information from my vehicle without my permission. I have no idea what they are downloading besides my trucks health but I bet they are possibly spying for their benefit not mine. End of rant.

I don't have the Uconnect subscription service just SiriusXM. When I said Uconnect I meant the head unit with the touch screen. Glad you touched on your experience with it though as I will never subscribe to it. Always downloading data from your truck is pretty scary...
