Default Swapping tires/rims from a 2016 Ram to a 2013 Ram sport

I recently purchased a set of 2016 ram sport rims with original factory Goodyear wrangler tires from a friend to put on my 2013 Ram sport. Its been a few days and the TPMS system is not picking up the tire sensors. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between 2013 tire sensors and 2016 tire sensors, and whether if the 2016 tire sensors will work on my truck?

Pretty sure those sensors will have to be programmed to your truck or swap the sensors from your wheels to make it work right.

Ok but there should be no compatibility issues as long as I get them programmed? I read somewhere the sensor were changed 2016 onwards.

2011-2014 are compatible, sensors are 433mhz, 2015 changed to 315mhz. Found out the hard way when i bought 2015 rims/tires/sensors for my 2011, not compatible

I think you just saved me a huge headache. I was going to do the same thing. 2016 Durango Factory wheels and sensors on a 2013 Durango. I found all sorts of inconsistent data in including Mopar original and replacement numbers. The replacement part must be programmable to both 315 or 433 MHz. Thanks
