Default O2 sensors

2009 Ram. W/Hemi. 118000 miles. Check engine light. Took the truck to auto parts store and had them put code reader on it. Came up all four o2 sensors bad. Guy said that was very unlikely. Have any ideas what to do next?

There are no diagnostic codes that say an oxygen sensor is bad. There ARE codes that say sensors are reading out of range, or providing unexpected values, but those could be due to wiring issues, large vacuum leaks, fuel injector issues, or bad oxygen sensors. So for the parts store to say the code reader says all four sensors are bad is bogus. To troubleshoot you need to understand the exact code numbers, not just the parts store's interpretation of the codes.

Did the parts store happen to provide you with the exact code numbers that were read out? If so, please provide them here.

Ya , I didn’t get to see the codes he just told me that’s what they meant. I should have gotten a print out. I think there was an 0038 and 0058 possibly.
