the confusion is cleared up guys.. unfortunately I cant delete the thread...


the mopar parts site I went to had 2 different plugs and once I put in my vin it narrowed it down to
mopar part # SPLZFR5C11 nickel electrode...

 

It's because they recommend running copper plugs in it. I personally would put iridiums in it and see how it does. The dealership will advise against this, but I know a number of people who run iridiums.

 

what I learned from tearing my hemi down to replace the cam was that there is enough oil getting onto the plugs, via the PCV system, that 30,000 is probably not a bad idea if you do not have an oil catch can installed. I just bought one and will pull some plugs at 30k to see if it makes a difference. If they look cleaner than the old plugs I just replaced, I might extend the time. We'll see.

for the iridium plugs from what I have been able to gather on multiple forums the reason they say not to use them is it puts undo wear
and tear on the coil packs

 

my 2009 as others the truck would throw a code , i run platinum plugs , 100,000 change .
current mileage 403,525 on truck
