2500 vs 3500 payload
What are the physical differences between a RAM 2500 and a RAM 3500? What I'm asking is what makes the 3500 payload so much greater than the 2500?
I have a 2018 2500 with the same configuration as a 3500 with engine, transmission, gear ratio, tires, long box, longhorn package and auto leveling system etc. but the payload capacity is substantially less.
thanks!

2500 has coil springs, 3500 has leaf springs. Because the Coils are inside the frame, you can get a tail wag with a real heavy or tall payload. Airbags or Timbrens can fix this. Oh and the little sticker that keeps the 2500 GVWR at 10k.
Axles brakes and everything else that matters is the same.
Air suspension options are completely different if that's what your looking at getting, 2500 is a airspring replacement, 3500 is more of a leaf spring assist.
