A/C question
Hottest day of the year and A/C quits on my '14 Ram 1500, bought some R134 and hose won't fit fitting WTF, is there another place to charge or did Chyrsler use their own fitting to stick you into bringing in for service, pretty bad when I have to drive the '00 F250 SD diesel to keep cool
There are two fittings on the system, one for low pressure and one for high pressure. These are different sizes to prevent connecting to the wrong one. Before trying to force more refrigerant in to the system you really should confirm the pressure on both lines with a manifold gauge set and also perform some basic checks to make sure the rest of the system works though.

check the refrigerant label under the hood. if it says r1234yf...it requires a different refrigerant and uses different high and low side coupler fittings. it also requires a compatible r1234yf pag oil.

if the system is empty now...replace the part yourself. if you replace the entire compressor...follow the proper oil balancing instructions. you may be able to source a home fill can....this method of charging is not accurate. The accurate method is to have it filled with an a/c machine. Its unlikely anyone but a dealer with have this equipment. This refrigerant is expensive...$100/lb so expect to get charged $200 to get it filled at a dealer.
