Default Starter solenoid trigger wire

My turn looking for some tips. 2011 1500 5.7

Havent dug into this too far yet. No starter activation. Not getting a 12v signal to starter solenoid when key is in start position. I dont believe this would be a ground signal either. Swapped start relay as well. Battery good.

Does the relay trigger when you turn the key? If not, look at the 'safety' mechanisms built into the circuit. Maybe the park/neutral switch? (may be a gear position switch, or something equally as nebulous......)

Thanks bud. Yep the relay is clicking. I dont have my head on straight with this one yet 😣. Need a dang wiring diagram!
Getting a bunch of issues causing my head to be messed up.
First checked for 12v on the solenoid trigger wire with key in crank position. Got none. While underneath noticed the braided wire from solenoid going into starter motor looks frayed and corroded. I did get motor to spin with an external heavy 12v supply to this connection.
Did the ol fashion jump 12v to solenoid trigger and got the solenoid to activate but no starter motor spin.
If I had a 12v crank trigger signal it would be easy to say starter issue
Maybe some of my rudimentary tests are flawed. Will do so more testing and probably pull the starter off.

Yeah, taking it off and having it tested wouldn't be a bad idea, but, even so, if you aren't getting the 12 volts from the relay...... even a new starter isn't going to help. have you tried swapping around relays? If that doesn't help, test continuity on the wire from the relay, to the solenoid. See what ya get.

Fixed.

So Im not sure what happened first. Found 40amp fuse blown for starter relay. This fixed my signal to starter solenoid. I may have blown this fuse during my testing but I believe the first thing I did was check for 12v trigger.
Anyways...new starter fixed the no crank issue

Starter wire corroded

I can see how that might be a problem there.
