Clock gains or loses time
I have noticed the past few days my clock gains or loses time, several hours and minutes. I noticed on Wednesday morning the time was a few hours ahead. I figured it was some glitch so I set the time and by the time I got to work it was an hour and fifteen minutes ahead of where it was set thirty minutes earlier. A similar result yesterday and today. I've heard something about it being synced to satellite time but it's not just the hour that changes but the minutes too. Any ideas?
I'm guessing you have a newer model with the 8.4 radio and nav. Uconnect had an update that you can do using a USB memory stick. Put your VIN into the Uconnect web site page and it'll give the update.

Still has not changed. I have tried to upgrade the firmware using the pdf instructions on the Uconnect web page however is fails to install. I have tried several different thumb drives and sd cards trying to install but it still fails. I have done a bit more troubleshooting and it appears the clock does not lose or gain time the clock resets. I noticed when I have gone to reset the time seeing it's changed from 24 hour to 12 hour time so it looks like the clock just randomly resets. The radio stations do not change but the clock does. I assume the memory where the stations are written to a physical location whereas the clock is only stored electronically. Any ideas on how to install the firmware or other troubleshooting that I can try to stop the clock from changing?
