Was doing my oil change an noticed that there is a black rubber line hanging down by the driveshaft for the front diff. It is coming from the (if looking twords the back of the truck) top right side of the front of the transfer case. I cannot find what it leads to or anything else. I have no cels or messages on my dash. 4wheel drive works just fine. What is this? Is a vent line?

Yep, thats a vent line. Looks like it got burnt in half on the exhaust somewhere. Might try and find the other end of it, it 'should' still be around somewhere. It'll just run up and end, with likely a white plastic cap type thing on the end.

 

this. you will want to get a replacement cap to prevent anything from getting in there and then tuck the line back in somewhere it will stay put.
