Rear Pinion Nut Comes Loose After Recall Completed
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone had issues with a rear Pinion nut coming loose on a 2009 Ram 1500 approx 177km. AFTER the recall. The recall has been done approx 4 yrs ago at 88km. Any suggestions? Is the recall to last the life of the vehicle ? The pinion frt and rear bearings was inspected for wear and the races. There is no significant wear on either. Is the manufactor still responsible for the recall Please advise thoughts?
The rebuild is over $ 1400 Just spent $ 4500 on the camshaft lifters R and R and warped exhaust msnifolds. Sucks considering the vehicle is worth about 7k to 8k.

Actually, 1400 is cheap for a rebuild...... My guess is, that Dodge won't do anything for you. The recall was performed, it was more than a year ago, and you are out of factory warranty by quite a stretch. You could call dodge customer service, but, don't expect anything to come of it.
