Default Limit speed to 20mph on 2011 Ram1500 SLT 4x4

Looking for ways to make sure that the truck newer go faster than 20mph. Why you maybe thinking-In Sweden 15 year old kids can drive a vehicle if it not goes faster than 20mph. Prefer if it can be done by computer etc.

Could probably be done with programming the PCM. I know there is a speed limiter in the programming..... Just set it to 20MPH, and you are all set. I *think* some of the tuners are the market can access that. Worth looking around.

Will HP Tuners do the work?

Probably. Buy the software, and you can likely do it yourself. Keep in mind, if you want to go back to a higher speed limit, you will have to flash the PCM again, and I think the PCM tracks how often you do so. Don't know if there is any limit on how often, aside from the chance of failure, even once, smoking the PCM...... An operation not without it's dangers.

Would be nice to know for sure if it possible to set the speed before I buy HP Tuners;-)

Email them, and ask.

I would also make sure that what you propose will legally work for you. If the vehicle is DESIGNED to go faster than 20mph, but is artificially limited, they may not buy it.
