Default Timing 5.7 hemi

I replaced the camshaft on my 2012 Ram 1500. Fired it up and it stumbles and stalls. Hard start. No codes. I presumed the timing was off. Removed the oil pump and found that the marks align with each other but, the camshaft is not perfectly at 12:00 when the crank is at 6:00. I don’t understand how it can be off. Any help?

When I did one I do recall the crank mark being about 5 oclock. I believe cam was at 12 with the mark between 2 pointers on the chain. Lots of vids out there

I installed a Stage 2 cam upgrade with marks at 12 and 6, crank key is at about 2. No issues. You may be off a tooth, or maybe a bad tensioner? Did your cam require a phaser limiter? Is cyl. 1 at TDC? Did your cam require custom ECU tune?
