Default 2011 1500 sport trans issues

Hey guys, I was on my way home from the lake and ughhh well needless to say I had a experience that wasn’t very pleasant... while driving with my cruise set at 65mph, the truck locks up the rear tires and we go into a full slide going down a hill pulling a boat... then the truck I guess shifts back into drive and I safely pull over so that I can go check my pants... well today I have pretty much eliminated every possibility such as the rearend or the brakes. Now I’m left with a PO841 code and nothing else for me to really do other then research.. has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's gonna be a fun one to figure out..... Too many different things can cause it, ranging from an electrical problem, to an internal trans failure.... given that yours decided to straighten up, and fly right, that makes me lean more toward an electrical problem. Can you view the freeze frame data from when the code was set?

Sounds like your trans was trying to grab two gears at once.
