Default Heated mirror question

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I recently got a 2010 Ram 1500 I would like to add heated mirrors. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! Is it possible? Sure, it's possible. But how integrated do you want them to be? If you're fine with just adding a separate switch to turn the heated mirrors on versus having them turn on when the defroster is selected, then you could just swap out the mirror "glass" for ones with the heating element (or possibly even add the heating element to the existing mirrors) and wire them up. If you're wanting them to function more like factory installed heated mirrors, that will get a bit trickier. I'm not sure if that's a programmable option in the 2010 where you would just need to add heated mirrors and have someone with a factory-equivalent scan tool enable them.

You might want to look at the Trail Ridge line of factory look aftermarket mirrors to see if they offer something. You may also want to check out popular auction websites if you're fine with just going the heated glass and wiring route.

Hey Rod, thanks much for all the great info. I'll check out Trail Ridge and go from there.
Much appreciated!
