Default Recall/electrical issues

I took my RAM in for an oil change & recall, which involved welding a drag link jam nut. Within a week the radio stopped working (blank screen), the backup sensors stopped working & the information screen started blinking 4-wheel drive engaged (it wasn't). i took it back it and was informed I needed two modules (both damaged by normal wear & tear) and not the welding recall repair. I find it highly unlikely that 2 modules stopped working a week after recall repairs. Has anyone else had an issue with this & any advice for customer complaints department? Thanks!

What year is your truck?

I am REAL curious what they consider 'normal wear and tear' on a frigging electrical component........

I hope they disconnected the battery before doing any welding.

That's the issue. What other electrical damage occured? It's a safety issue. How can a DPCM transfer case module & the radio transfer case control module go out a week after a simple recall.

Recall R46

SOME OF THE VEHICLES MAY HAVE A FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET THAT WAS IMPROPERLY WELDED DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. THE FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET WELDS MAY BREAK AND ALLOW THE FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET TO SEPARATE FROM THE FRAME RAIL. A SEPARATED FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET WILL CAUSE DIMINISHED STEERING RESPONSE AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS.

FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT A SEPARATED FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET AND/OR CRACKED WELD(S), ADDITIONAL SUPPORT BRACKETS MUST BE INSTALLED. FOR VEHICLES WITH A SEPARATED FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET AND/OR CRACKED WELD(S), A NEW FRONT SUSPENSION TRACK BAR FRAME BRACKET MUST BE WELDED TO THE FRAME.
