Default Cam and lifter failure, need help deciding which way to go!

Ok I have a 2010 ram 5.7 hemi with mds. Lifter took out the cam and need some help deciding what I need to do. Ok, if I go with a mds delete kit does it need to be tuned out? I have a handheld that can turn it off is that sufficient?

MDS needs to be disable in programming. If your handheld can turn it off, that will likely be sufficient.

Problem is, the cam/lifter failure scattered crap all thru the engine. Only way to ensure you get it all clean out, is a complete teardown. Otherwise, you are just asking for trouble.

Lucky that you don't own a newer hemi, like 2016 and newer. The ECM has to be sent in to unlock, prior to any program mods. I own a 2016 and 2020 hemi ram 1500.
Texas speed has a new hemi cam line-up. Its dam pricey to fix-up these newer dodgies.
