2010 Dodge Ram 1500 transmission issues
Hello all,
I have a 2010 Dodge ram 1500 that is having some problems. Back in May I lost my job arrived at home to find a puddle of oil under truck. The transmission pan had rusted through, so I replaced the filter, pan, and oil. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, the wife took it in to an oil change place, and they said it was low so they filled it, and a week or so later she was driving it, and when it should have shifted into second gear the engine rpm's jumped up, and it never shifted but maintained first gear. She stopped, put it in park, shut it off, started it up, drove it and it did the same thing, so she limped it home parked it, and now it does not go into either reverse, or drive, in any gear. I have looked at it a little, but I am not sure if there is a converter issue, solenoid pack issue, broken gears...something...I am not sure where to look, I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but I don't want to have it rebuilt to find out there was something wrong with the converter, or was a solenoid...any suggestions?
