Looked online this morning and they range from 3000 to 6000......
Gonna head to my local shop in a few and see what they would charge. Got to be cheaper than a dealer..
On a side note, I just made first payment on truck yesterday...... 🤣

Did you buy it from a private individual, or a dealer? If you got it from a dealer, I would be tempted to attempt to get my money back.....

From a used car dealer. Truck sold as is. They will not help. And lemon laws only apply to new vehicles.

Local shop, who I know very well and trust 100% said they could do it for 3500. So probably gonna go that route.....

I would delete the mds crap myself, that the stuff that caused the failure in the first place. My 2016 makes a lifter rattle for 10 seconds, drive me crazy. I would also investigate to see if you have any broken exhaust bolts, as that one is common failure as well.
You could probably find another used engine and replace.
