Default 2010 dodge ram 1500 V8 cooling system issue

I hope someone can help me. Ii have 2010 dodge ram Laramie 5.7 V8 i didn't notice my truck was running a bit hot when I did notice it I put on my heat so it would cool down as I couldnt stop right then it worked it never over heated and stayed pretty decent when I go to my destination I poured coolant into the resivour as I needed to get home the truck was fine no issues besides a small a small coolant leak. Which I had plans to flush the system my self and put bars leak dual radiator sealant with a fresh batch of coolant. I started my flush process however when I started the truck I couldn't get it up to temp it stays a qtr to half way hot. At this point I was I figured it was just some air I had my heaters on full blast and cap open. It never went up so I waited the 10 to 15 mins drained it and filled back up with just distilled water let the air bubbles bubble out. It still wouldnt get up to temp how ever the heat stayed hot like it should of been. The highest my coolant temp got I was like 172. Now I have only owned the truck 8 months and the system is still dirty after 5 flushes with one round of Prestones radiator flush. I don't want to keep flushing it with it not getting to temp the top radiator house is pretty hot so is the bottom. Is it still cuz of air ? I've been outside in the 90° weather trying to make it work I'm stumped unless something broke or it's because everything is so dirty
