Hi guys, just quick question/discussion on whether I should upgrade my wheel hubs or not.
I got my '12 1500 about 2yr ago with about 200k miles on it. At the dealership I noticed a few bushings were worn and got them to knock the price down for it with the plan of fixing it later.... Later never came...
Fast forward to now, guy runs the light and hits me right in the wheel breaking every bushing, strut and control arm.
I took it in stride as a sign from God to fix what needs to be fixed. Also me as a devil on my shoulder thinking good time to upgrade
So I got Bilstein 5100 struts, Mevotech upper and lower control arms, Mevotech tie rods, trakmotive cv axles, trufftruck springs, R1 concepts slotted rotors. I'm now way over budget and still have fenders and paint to pay for.
But as im taking everything apart I feel some type of way about having all new parts but not doing anything about the hubs... They seem fine, spin smooth. I'm beyond broke on this and on top of that my truck, which is my main transportation, has been sitting on stands for a month now. But am I being dumb not buying new ones?
What's your opinion?
Depends on how much you enjoy working on it. If it took that hard of a hit, I would be real tempted to replace the bearings...... Or, you could chance it, and if they don't do anything untoward, run 'em till the wear out.

Although I really do enjoy working on the truck, I don't enjoy miss g road trips to the beach or trail riding, and definitely don't enjoy driving my wife's kia soul🙃 They aren't damaged, or even really that warn from the looks of it. But they do have 200k+ miles on them. And it's not really that I can't afford them per se, it's just that set a budget for this and have blown that to ****😅
But you're right, I can just upgrade that when the time comes... 😅
