Default 2015 RAM 1500 - best diagnostic solution

Whats the best diags solution for this truck? Is it any ODB2 reader or are there some which give you much more detailed info, more similar to what dealers have?
I do my own stuff on all my cars, about to get this truck, want to be prepared. Thanks.

Most of the free stuff isn't worth it. Torque is pretty good, Torque Pro is better.... no experience with it though. To get REALLY good software, you are gonna PAY. Either a recent Snap-On/Mac/Matco/etc scanner, that is pretty comprehensive, or software for 5 to 6 hundred bucks to be thorough. If I was going to spend that kind of money, I would advocate for the HP tuners software. You can read a lot of OBDII vehicles with it, (and see lots of interesting data....) and you can actually TUNE one vehicle. (per license that you purchase.) Of course, I think the newer trucks have a Locked PCM, so would have to get that addressed as well.

I'm used to having to pay. I own so e German cars and those diags are in the thousands for factory piwis3.
That's what I thought. I'll have to look around for something that I can use to pd with, and not turn an issue into a guessing game of what to replace next.
