I asked my dad tonight to pull the O2 sensors abd instead he took it for a drive to see if he noticed a problem because he swears I’m crazy and there is nothing wrong. He returned, said I was crazy and told me to drive it and point it out. I guess he and I drive vastly different. Before I could even say “okay it’s doing it now” he said “oh. Your torque converter is bad!” Evidently I’m the only one that drives it just right for the problem to occur. He said if I was going to bother pulling the trans to replace the converter, I might as well just replace the whole trans because at some point, in the likely near future due to the mileage, the transmission will need to be replaced anyway.

told me for the mean time to throw some “shutter fix” in it as that may help some.

happy that after a month I have finally got it diagnosed and now know I don’t need a new truck! Which frees up the money to replace my husbands POS weak Chevy!

I hope this helps some poor girl like me in the future!

Trans is certainly cheaper than a new truck.

For sure! However, I did get on the dodge website yesterday and build my dream truck! I’m itching to have one! But for now I’ll settle for keeping my little dude who has severed me very well over the last 7 years and taken me and my horses all over the country without complaint, despite my best attempts to kill it. Like the time I didn’t change my oil for 20k miles and discovered after checking it at a rest stop in East Jesus no where that it was basically out of oil 🤣🤷‍♀️

thank you so much for your assistance and comical comments! Your wife is a lucky lady!

I want a Power Wagon, or, one of the new ones with the blown hemi. Of course, my budget doesn't allow for either of those.

I liked the Power Wagon until I saw it in person. The stupid seats are part leather and part cloth... I am not sure why that seemed like a good idea to make, but I have dogs... cloth seats don't work out too well. Outside of that, they are NICE!

My dogs do a number on my leather seats. I just got seat covers of some fairly heavy material. But then, I don't like leather seats anyway. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. (and I get both here.....)
