Default What did I do wrong?!

So a couple months ago I got in a car accident and just like any gear Head instead of replacing everything I decided it was the perfect time to upgrade. So I went out and bought a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts, amongst other upgrades as you can see from the pic. Of course I set them to the highest setting (2.75"). After putting them all together everything looks a bit too angular. I was under the assumption that the struts were compatible with OEM equipment and that a 2" lift wouldn't max out the suspension. But even still I bought Mopar control arms for the factory 2" lift and trakmotive extended travel axles. So why do they look like they're about to snap!? What did I do wrong?? And is it possible to adjust the struts without taking it all apart?... Because it was a bitch to get in....
