Default Fuel gauge reads way off

I have a 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie with the 32 gallon tank. I've noticed over the last year or so that the fuel gauge reads extremely pessimistically. For instance, when the needle is getting close to E (well under 1/4 mark) and I fill it up I can find the tank often has 10 gallons left. Even way down with the needle touching E there is usually 7-8 gallons still in the tank. I know most vehicles have a buffer, but at E it is usually only a couple gallons. This is ridiculous and is making me think I have to fill up far to quickly.

Is there anything that can be done to calibrate the tank reading?

So far as I know, nothing in that system is adjustable..... At least, not easily. My 98 is the same way. I have the 34 gallon tank, and there is still north of 8 gallons in there when the light comes on. (at one-eighth of a tank.)
