Broken manifold bolt

Default Broken manifold bolt

2013 Ram sport 5.7 Hemi started the dreaded Hemi tick at 102,000 miles. Immediately I assumed lifter issues. However, after reading many Google post on the subject I discovered broken manifold bolts can cause ticking.
The ticking is on cold startup and stops in a few seconds as the motor warms up. I checked and have one manifold bolt broken on passenger side, last one in the back.

Question #1: Would one broken bolt cause the ticking noise as it does seem that the manifold is tight against the motor.

Question #2: Due to my senior age and health this is not something that I can repair on my own. Any idea what the dealer would charge to change all the bolts on the passenger side?

I actually have an appointment with the dealer next week because the radio went out and it controls the heater/ac vents among other things. From what I've read the radio will need to be replaced at $950.00.

I think I remember, some time ago, some tying the tick to some other part of the engine. I think they concluded it isn't the bolts. For me, mine started around 60k miles, and has the same characteristics. Is only present with a cold engine, usually only there for coasting, or slow speeds (under 30), until the engine is warm.

I have 2 broken bolts. One is passenger top rear, other is driver bottom rear. I converted over to long tubes, and got everything tightened down properly. It came with better bolts as well, and required a different manifold seal thing (the official name is escaping me). I'm not sure there is a chance for it to cause any type of vibration on the side of the engine block, which would likely be the cause if it did come from the manifold/block interface. The old manifolds had no sign of vibration, nor did the engine block. If this was the cause, I'd expect to see some sort of shine, or wear down, of the surfaces if it was vibrating enough to cause that tick. To cause the tick loud enough to be heard over the engine noise, I would expect it to be a pretty significant vibration as well.

The tick can be annoying, but so far it seems to be par for the course for Hemi engines. Also doesn't seem to be any negative impact on the engine itself.
