Default Recurring issue with code P0340

Hello, I have a 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 Bighorn. Over the past 2 months I’ve been having on and off issues with the code P0340. The symptoms remain the same; engine and traction control lights come on, cruise control doesn’t work, engine lurches randomly, and I get a dead petal at anything over 80km/h (once I take my foot off the accelerator I have to wait until I slow to 80kmh before I get any acceleration again). The first time around it was an oil change that fixed everything. Second time around was a new camshaft position sensor, and now the third time, after trying both of those solutions, I have had no luck. Clearing the code is a temporary solution that lasts about a day. Any help is appreciated but I have to warn I’m no mechanic, so sorry if I don’t understand right off the bat.

Cam position sensor circuit. Need to check the wiring for that sensor.

Two or three wire sensor? Two will go between the sensor and the PCM. Buried deep in the harness no doubt..... if there is a third wire, it's a ground, and may also go to the PCM....
