Headlights dim

Default Headlights dim

Installed new headlights with new led lamps. Lights are bright with the ignition on but after starting truck high beams dim significant
2011 ram 1500 4.7.

Were they like this before you replaced them? Did you replace just the bulbs or the entire headlight assembly? Are they OEM or aftermarket?

they weren’t like that before. Had halogen bulb that had high and low beam. I replaced headlight assembly now has separate bulb for high and low. I used led this time which I’m thinking that’s the problem. I’m going to put regular bulbs back in and see if that fixes my problem

Many aftermarket LED bulbs have an adjustable focal length. If your are not set properly for the reflector they may appear dim since the light will be dispersed instead of focused.
