Default Max Care cancelled my warranty!

2009 Ram 1500, bought it new in 2008. I bought the lifetime Max care warranty. The truck has been good to me. I just had a mechanical issue and when I went to the Dealership, they said I did not have Max Care, that it had been canceled. After several phone calls I find out that Max care had been cancelled because I missed the mandatory inspections.

I don’t remember anyone telling me about inspections, but in 2008 someone may have told me I would need an inspection in 2014. There was no notification otherwise, no post card, no letter. I still have the original contract application; there is no mention of the inspections. You get cancelled after you miss 2 inspections. Between 2014 and the actual cancel date 2019, I used the max care warranty at the dealership and I had the truck in for recall work.

It feels very underhanded the way this is going down. I may have been told in 2008, after a 5 hour buying process, but was given no other notification?

I have owned Dodge trucks since 1997.

Is there any hope of getting Max Care reinstated?

I spoke to them several times. The entry level the foreign sounding, probably outsourced customer care person initially said no its done, but
maybe someone on the forums here has gotten a warranty reinstated.
Maybe persistence can get something done.
If you quit after you receive you first no, you probably wont get far.

I outright refuse to take "no" as an answer from someone that doesn't have the authority to say "yes". Technically though, (and likely 'legally') you didn't have the inspections done, so, you violated the terms of the contract.. The fact they didn't tell you about it... yeah, that's more of a moral issue than a legal one. The requirements for the owner are likely documented somewhere.... and if you signed the paper talking about them, that's it. Yer done. A lawyer would likely be the best bet at this point, and he/she will be able to tell you if you have a leg to stand on.

Yea, I am just mad this is some underhanded gangster BS, but exactly what I would expect from these companies in this industry. This won't easily go away, it will be with me for a long time. I will bad mouth Dodge, Chrysler and Max Care as long as I live. I will do my best sway away my kids my friends to never buy a Dodge product. I will probably feel better if I can cost dodge 5 new cars.
I am going to still call and write a letter, I'm not very hopeful, but we will see.

That’s BS. An “inspection” in 2014 would not catch a failed part in 2023.
if they want to refund your warranty purchase price, that’s a fair way for them to wiggle out of the contract.

stay on them
