Coolant temp
Gauges are not really known for their high degree of accuracy.
If you can, plug in a scanner, and see what the PCM thinks engine temp is. I don't know what the stock thermostat temp is supposed to be, but, someone here does.

I just got a 2011 Ram 1500, after totaling my 2004 Ram a few weeks ago, and it was running about 210-212 degrees since I got it. The other day the water pump decided to grenade. Replaced the water pump, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, upper and lower hoses, thermostat and coolant. It now is running between 203 - 208 degrees in 110 degree weather.
If your coolant is not 50/50 mix and is mostly water, that could also cause higher temps. I believe the thermostat is 203 degrees.
