It won 't go in neutral unless the truck is started. Turning on the key won't let me put it in neutral.

Ok, that was an interesting design choice..... What are you supposed to do if you need to have it towed????

Does the range sensor work? Does it indicate the trans is actually in park? Or is it confused?

Does the range sensor work? Not sure what this in but the dash does tell me how much farther I have on the fuel that's left. Does it indicate the trans is actually in park? The PRND shows it in Park. Or is it confused? Don't know if its confused but I am.

Yeah. Trans Range sensor. If it show it is in park..... then it is *probably* working.....

My wiring diagram resource stops at 2015...... so I have no clue what the starter circuit looks like on your truck.... Gonna need wiring diagrams at the very least, complete FACTORY service manual would be a good idea.

Just wanted to share with you in case this comes up again. We had to replace the starter.

At least it wasn't too much of an ordeal. (I hope?)

No, I did spend a lot of time researching the problem, but I don't mind doing that if it can save me money.
