Default V6 Coolant Temp (driving vs sitting)

So as the title says, I have a 2018 Ram with the V6. I have a ultra gauge on it to track the coolant temp / oil temps / trans temps / etc. Always feel like I need to watch and see norms so I know if something is going on.

I notice when I’m picking my daughter up from school, it hits like 230-240? I think that is pretty hot. If I drive, it can be between 190-200 (maybe close to 210 on very hot days). But it stays reasonable, and I know reading, the thermostat is like a 200 or something? I just know everything is higher with the truck and how it works.

So I guess my concern is, when sitting to pick up my daughter from school or sitting in my drive way with it running while I top the tires off with air (cold weather yay) to get the warning to go off on the dash, is 230-240 OK? IF for some odd reason the fan isn’t working/running, I’m guessing I would get some sort of CEL / warning, no? Just want to make sure all is working as it should.

From the research I’ve done, I THINK this is good and OK. Just wanted to make myself feel better. Hah.

I don't think non running fan will give a CEL.
