Brake lights on
Hi all
i have a 2011 ram 1500 with factory installed trailer brake and a tricky problem. Recently I’ve had an electrical problem I can’t figure out. While driving all of a sudden several warning went off and now my brake lights are always on. The warnings that came on were - trailer brake disconnected, and service 4wd system. Now when I’m only in accessory position, my brake lights function properly, but once running or in “on” position brake lights are always in. I’ve replaced the tail lights as I thought it was a short in there, and the brake pedal plunger has been replaced. I’m thinking it’s the gvmt, but not really sure.

My son is having a similar issue with his 2010. Driving and not towing but the trailer brake fault comes on, as well as the service 4wd, traction control, cruise control warning lights and the truck won't upshift into overdrive. I'm sure it's a short but don't know where to start. Another thread said pull the fuse from the trailer brake system so I tried that but it didn't solve the problem.
