Default Misfire Codes

I haven't been on for a while. But I'm getting messages about misfire code. As a retired Dodge tech, just some easy things to share. If you have a hemi motor. Make sure you are using factory spark plugs. Do a dry and wet compression test and if you can a leak down test. Remove the spark plugs from the cylinder you are having the problem with and move them to cylinder on the other head, like misfire number 5... move to cylinder 4 and the same with the coil or wire and injector. If the misfire follows to a different cylinder then you have isolated problem. If the problem is the same, then I would remove the valve cover and check the valve springs and lifter travel by cranking the engine over. Because you could have a bad lifter or camshaft. Hope this hopes. Leonard
