DTM code P0441. How to replace right purge control valve
Does anyone have any experience in replacing the right purge control valve on 2018 Dodge Ram 1500. Any links to reliable "how to" would be appreciated and any tips. The DTC code is P0441 and displays the message about the right purge control valve. But not completely sure it is the valve. The check engine light will come on shortly after a filling up with fuel. And (in the past) the check engine light will go off all by itself after a while (days or even weeks) then will come on again but only after filling it up. Cycle repeats although this last time the check engine light has stayed on for over a month. Truck drives fine with no performance issues the only complaint I have is when I fill it up it is really hard to get the flow of fuel slow enough not to click the gas pump handle off. Very frustrating. The service shop at the dealer we bought it at (we just purchased it this past June 2024) put a new gas cap on but that didn't fix anything. They want to do a smoke test now but I really don't think it would be worth the cost but maybe that is what I have to do. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or possible solutions at all. DO you think it might have something to do with the gas fill up problems? It is a 2018 Ram 1500 4 Wheel Drive.
