Ram 1500 4x4 Extended Warranty
Just asking a Question. Has anyone had a good result from an Extended warranty that is not from Mopar. I have been looking at Endurance and Premier Auto Warranties and the write ups, but seems a bit less informative. I have researched many others and they all say you must have proof of maintenance. Is this Automotive shops that put maintenance in a data-base and if so do they have to be a member or on some kind of list.? Yes I have my receipts, but just wondering about if I was to do my own Oil Changes or replace my own Brakes. Just looking for thoughts and/or real world experiences, from the Dodge Forum Family. Thanks.
When I was working in the dealership service department, we HATED the aftermarket warranty companies. They were universally a pain in the keester to deal with, and were constantly looking for ANY excuse to deny the claim. If your oil changes were scheduled for 3000 miles in the owners manual, and you went 3100 miles ONCE, no more warranty coverage for you..... Sure, the extended warranty thru the dealship certainly costs more, but, in my opinion, it is WORTH the money, as EVERY dealer will accept it.... We finally got to the point that we just outright refused to deal with a couple of 'em. Far more trouble than they were worth.
