Hi guys and gals,

i have a 2011 ram 1500 hemi. autozone swapped out my batter twice because the first one wasnt charged enought to test my alternator.
long story short somehow this fried my pcm.

ive replaced my battery, alternator, starter, pcm, ignition, and key.
ive also had the dealer flash the used pcm so everything would commnunicate correctly.

The truck starts and runs smooth the issue is that randomly the truck just dies. im loosing communication with the pcm at some point.

the scanner gives me codes
u0100 lost communication with ecm/pcm
u1197 security seed responce not received from ecm/pcm

has anyone had this issue?

 

Bad PCM.

 

ive replaced the pcm with a working one from another truck. before i replaced it truck wouldnt start anti theft light was on. i installed used pcm and truck starts but it will just turn off randomly maybe the next day maybe an hour later maybe 20 minutes

 

So you got a pcm with a different problem than yours had...... PCM being the ONLY change here....... What does that lead you to think?
