Question High end Wheel spacers

Anyone had any experience with Motorsport technologies in CA?

I ordered a hub centric and wheel centric set of 1/4" spacers from them that is bolt pattern specific and it has a lip on the spacer to hang the wheel on assuring everything is true.

I currently have a cheap set of 1/4" universal spacers and am experiencing very slight vibrations at higher speeds. I have had the alignment checked as well as the wheel balance. I am running 305/55/20 on stock Laramie wheels.

The guys at Motorsport explained that these spacers are made of billet aluminum 6061? The spacer also has a custom lip on it depending on what wheel you are running so the wheel can hang on the spacer almost like a hub extention. Sounded like a better mouse trap to me? They were $45 each so I ordered them.

Thoughts?

I order all my wheel spacers from Bones Enterprises. They are made of billet aluminum as well. The cost is a bit more, but I've never had an issue with their products.

The universal spacers are nothing but junk, and I'm betting your vibration is from the spacers being warped, which is very common, especially if they're not torqued correctly.

I torqued the lug nuts in a cris cross fashion to 80# after I installed the cheap spacers. I checked them about every other day to make sure they were not backing off and so far they have remained tight.

I'm excited how these new spacers will do. What do you torque your lugs to?

I don't have spacers on my Ram (still stock wheels), but my Charger has 3mm spacers though, which are torqued to 105#. I believe the 4th Generation Rams are supposed to be set around 120-130#.

I can attest to this. I had some generic spacers (made in china) placed on my truck because of rubbing issues. I had a LARGE amount of wheel shimmy or shake around 55mph. I went back and had them order me a new wheel with a proper offset of 0 because the wheels that were on the truck were a +20mm. Now the truck drives like new since the cheap spacers have been removed.

So if you are using spacers, spend the money and get the ones that will not warp when properly torqued.

I HAVE THOSE SPACERS FROM THAT COMPANY ON MY TRUCK, they are perfect..the balance is incredible ,no shake no shimmy, and fit EXACTLY, after you remove the lug nuts ,you have to kick the tire pretty hard to get it off of them, (first thing i tried), I put on some loctite also, I got the HUB and WHEEL concentric, very happy with them, 1000 mile check and they are there to stay,

What center bore did you specify? I need to get a set for the 305/50/20 tires I have.
