Default Why don't my mirror signal lights work?

I just installed a set of new chrome Mopar heated mirrors with signal lights on my Ram that had the standard black heated mirrors. The heater and adjustments work but not the signals. There was an extra plug, which I'm assuming was for the signal, that fit into the distribution box in the door. But no lights?? Any ideas. I checked the fuse panel in the engine compartment for missing relays/fuses but no luck..

Before..

After..

Does this module need to be programed or am I missing something?

The dealer needs to activate the option if your truck did not have them from the factory

Don't waist your $ and time!!
Same boat my friend and 2 dealers and nothing! I had the code added the computer reconfigured and nothing. Now they are saying next step be to replace the door modules and try again!
So as of right now I'm not sure I even want to bother incase they don't work again!
Let me know If you figure it out. But I bet if I said I will buy that truck as long as you put tow mirrors on it! They would find a way!! Bs

I will be bringing it in at 60,000K for an all overal look as the warranty expires. So I will talk to the service manager to see what can be done. Overall I love the look and didn't loose any functionality, so no harm done. But would love to see the signals work and as the plug seems to be there don't see why they can't enable it. I think this is a programing issue and can't imagine that Dodge would not be able to resolve it.

Nice!! I called the dealer and the service manager said that if my body control module is compatible that it would take an hour to program.. As said, I will be taking it in at 60k so if they can do it great, if not I still like the look.

It doesnt actually take an hour to program, but it's the minimum they charge to use their Starscsn tool. I'd see if they can change you to an international setting while their at it if your paying for an hour. Intnl setting will allow the fogs to be on with the highbeams. Just make sure when they do this it doesnt make you have DRL's.
Changing the settings and flashing takes the dealer all but 5min to do btw. I think its gross they charge min of 1hr, but thats what they do around here in NY as well.

Yap that's what they told me!
The first dealer after 1.5 hr of trying everything known to them= nothing and 60$ lost.
The second could see the code added as a dealer option and tryed for an hr = nothing!! 55$ lost! My guess is even we have the 2 plugs , there is no wiring in them to accept the second plug. If you have the time take one door panel off and unplug the second(new) plug and see if you see any pins inside. I'm thinking they are not there.. The second dealer I trust and like so not sure.. On positive side they said if they figure it out and i have a problem down the road they will replace mirrors under warranty , due to the first dealer puting in the code as a dealer option?!?
Don't help me much since they are not working!!

They said to bring it in when I got the time and they will start from scratch and a engineer on phone and see if the existing modules can work and if it's not something wrong. Which it would be covered under warranty and free .. But did say for that to happen something has to be wrong with the truck/mirrors. My luck they will stick me with the bill so I'm not going to bother. I too have the Laramie mirrors and I like them as is. Specially that now I can see behind my inclosed trailer! Lol
Keep me posted

I didn't think it would take them an hour but your right min. charge. I'm going to have them inspect the truck head to tow before warranty expires, so I'll assume they'll put that as part of the time. If they can't get them working, I'm not going to sweat it as they look good anyway and I'm not out any functionality. I did plug it in the correct outlet as it only fit in one plug and there were pins there and none of the other outlets, so here's hoping it works.
