Rust and Clear Coat
2019 Ram 1500 -
I just noticed the rear bumper has two rust spots that weren't there a few months ago and on the passenger door there is a couple spots that the clear coat is pealing off.
Anybody else having these problems with their 3 year old truck and what can be done about it?
Thanks ...

As far as I was told, the only warranty I have at the moment is the powertrain, which expires in about 4k miles. This truck should not be having rust or clear coat problems in 3 years. In fact, in November, I had tires put on the truck and the mechanic stated he never seen a truck this new with so much rust underneath like this truck. Really ticks me off. Now I have to figure out a simple way to take care of these two problems before they escalate.
I did see this on a website for 2019 ram classic -
Warranty
Basic warranty: 36 months/36,000miles
Corrosion perforation warranty: 60 months/ unlimited distance
Powertrain warranty: 60 months/100,000miles
Powertrain warranty: 60 months/60,000miles
Roadside assistance coverage: 60 months/60,000miles
This of course shows the powertrain warranty as 100k and 60k miles, so I need to check into this.
Is there a quick way to check what the warranty is on my truck?

I looked at your other post, you said it was in an accident before you bought it used. Failed clearcoat on the repair, or oem finish? People use cheap paint products when they don't care about the vehicle, work looks good when sprayed but the durability isn't like OEM. Not everyone preps for paint properly either.
As far as rust underneath... Unfortunately manufacturers have never been engineering for life in the rust belt, its only a small percentage of their customers. But you're in NY, go get that thing coated. There has to be places that spray lanolin or petroleum based products nearby. Or do it yourself with a lanolin kit and air compressor...
