Shift delay 2022 Dodge Ram
I have a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Lone Star 4x2 and i have had it for about 2 months and i noticed that when i slow down after normal driving to stop it feels like the transmission has a delay in shifting down gears.
Has anyone experience this on a newer Dodge Ram 1500 ?

I did notice it the first time I towed my Rv and it was in tow haul mode. It has been taken out of tow haul a while and still acts like when I am braking it is trying to keep going. You know like when you try and give to much gas to try and shift gears and you have to let of to shift well when I come up to a stop it down shifts the tranny very late I can feel it.
Take a service writer from the Dodge dealership for a test ride, then go to a different dealer, and do the same thing. See what the general consensus is.
We had a '17 truck at the shop, and I thought the shifting on that was reasonably intelligent... but, I think that was a different trans too....

Yes, these transmissions are slow to downshift, and to release the torque converter. If you set your dash to show your current gear... You will see that these things are in fourth gear as you are decelerating below 10mphs. ...but that is after the "brake assist" kicks in when it down shifts from 5th to 4th. That one caused me to skid past a stop sign in the winter. In or out of tow mode doesn't make a difference.
