Default Water Leak Headliner Stained

Hey Everyone - I've had my truck for about 18 months with no show of a leak, but today I noticed a stain on the headliner in both corners of the headliner in the back of the cab. The stain goes diagonal across each corner. My back window is solid glass, not window. I did notice the plastic strips that go along both sides of the roof, which separate the top from sides of the roof seem to be loose towards the back of the cab and was wondering if they snap off and can be sealed.

I have to look and see what else may be getting wet, but for now, this is all I have.

Suggestions are welcome ... thanks

Unfortunately, the warranty has run out. I have almost 76k miles on the truck.

Not a happy camper with this truck. In the past 18 months I've had to replace both front wheel bearing assemblies and now I found out that the bolts broke off on the manifold passenger side, which is what has been causing the ticking noise. That seems to be an ongoing problem with the Hemi engines. And yesterday the leak and water stain on both rear corners of the headliner. The leak must have just started, so I hope I can catch this quickly.

I had a leak with my 2004, which with a little silicone seal took care of. That was caused by water getting through the screw holes that held the metal plate guides for the rubber door seals. That was a quick fix. I'm hoping I'm not going to have a big problem like I've heard others have had, replacing the rear window multiple times, third brake like seal, antenna seal, etc. None of the other people I've noticed have had a leak and stated a stain in the rear corners of the headliner, so my situation may be in a different spot, which makes me believe it might be the rubber strips sealing the top roof seam from the side, but I'm not sure how to remove that. at the moment.

Pull the headliner, have someone hose down the truck for ya, while you sit inside, and see where the water is coming in from.

As for the manifold bolts, so far as I am concerned, that is a design flaw with the manifolds themselves. They concentrate ALL the heat in the rear part of the manifold, which stretches the bolts, and they break. Shorties headers, good bolts and gaskets, solves that problem permanently.

On my older Dodge under those plastic pieces is a weld. Mine were just glued on. Pulled them, used some Silicon sealer/adhesive.
