well the eiboch kit lowers your car 1.3" front and rear. the kyb gr2 shocks are great for this vehicle . so you get the for coil springs and front and rear strut shocks for $619 plus tax and ship

Have a 2007 1500 quad 4x4 short bed...thinking about lowering the rear a couple inches to level the truck out. Does this work,? Does it effect handlling? Pricing? Do you think I should raise the front instead?

well there is this 1.5" shackle drop for the rear of this truck, that does not level it out because some of these trucks sit up about 3" higher in the rear. i would say it gives you a little bit more better handling because of the center of gravity being lower, but not very much. it does not affect the ride quality at all. the shackle set sells for $100 plus tax and freight

as for lifting up the front is ok if you're looking to eliminate the rake and give it more of a 4x4 look. i would suggest putting taller coils and shocks in front rather than doing spacers. i have not had good luck with spacer because they preload the spring making it want to skip lanes at higher speeds.
