You gotta do what you gotta do but if it doesn't have a payment on it then it won't cost you anymore unless you continue to do mods!

I can remember my father selling his camaro and how angry I was and his blazer....keep it!

Just don't do mods!

When you get your replacement vehicle, you will start to Mod it. You can't win.

Bill,

I understand exactly the reasons you stated about selling. I've had a lot of the same thoughts about mods and money lately (escpecially with my recent gear issues), and I'm starting to see that there is so much more I can do with my time and money. I'll be keeping my truck, but the mods are done for me (except for the current gear work that is being performed so I can at least drive it again). I want to just drive it now and get as many miles out of it as I can and enjoy it. I'd much rather spend my weekends with my daughter instead of with the truck.

Good luck selling it, it is indead an awesome rig. Glad I got to see it in person. I hope you get what it's worth these days with gas prices being so high and everyone looking for good mpg vehicles. What will you drive instead? Hope you will still log in here from time to time too to pass on your wisdom too.
It's pretty weird, but we all seem to have a pretty bad illness. We all spend our money our trucks. Everytime we get a little extra cash, we just drop it into our vehicles. I know I do. I make a diesent amount for my age, but I wrecklessly dump every bit of money into my truck. I never cash a paycheck, and just say,"man glad to have some money". I think to myself, wow I can get some gas, get a carwash, buy a new wheel, buy an air intake, a bed liner, a fastman...on and on on. That's why I'm learning to just slow down, and not make it such a damn panic. I'm always in this race in my mind to do the next mod. I'm putting the intake on, getting my headlights fixed, putting in the new lugnuts, and just enjoying my truck. Just doing the simple thing. Balance and Rotations, Allignments, Oil Changes...and just be a normal person lol. I don't have a family, but I do have a life. I need some money. Sometimes I'm so broke I can't even take a nice girl out on a date because I don't have enough money for gas and food, it's pathetic!

ARB air lockers front and rear with 5.13 gears,

38.5/14.5/17 Pro Comp Xtreme AT's on 17" x 9" Pro Comp alloys
are you gonna give them a gas card worth $1,000 at least? how bads the MPG on that?

always sucks to see something you put time and money in go out the door. was this a toy truck or your daily driver?

I figured it out and its about the same ratio of 4.11's to 32" tires as 5.13's to 38.5's Its about the same and since its a manual, should be lower rpm's anyway. I spoke with my parents about it for like a few hours. No-go for me. I'd love to have that truck.. but its just bad timing with money in my case. My dad wants a truck again so naturally he would take mine... but the money isnt there for him to hand over to me to so I could buy this one. I wouldnt be surprised ifbill didn't already sell it by now honestly. I'm kickin myself in the butt right now because I know im passing up the oportunity of a life time.[sm=bangbang.gif] (I dont have a choice).

- - - EDIT

Seriously, like everyone else said. KEEP IT!

Well I really wish I could keep it, but it's just not a sensable option for me and my family (If it was just me, I wouldn't even be talking about this).

The problem is, I had a 2005 Jeep TJ that I dumped $7K in extras into before the Dodge, and then before the Jeep I had a 2004 Toyota double cab that I dumped over $5K extrasinto..........and so on.

"Hi my name is Bill and I am a 4-wheel-a-holic and I have a terminal case of building rigs and then getting bored and moving on".....lol

The madness has to stop before I can't afford it anymore. I have a great job and I make great money, but even so, it's exspensive to build up three rigs and then sell them for less than you have in them. All the while thinking "man I should have done something less selfish with my money".

So my next rig is going to be a bone stock extra cab 2WD truck. I am purposely going with 2WD because I know I have a weakness...lol, and honestly, even living in Denver, I can count on one hand how many times I actually "needed" 4wd to get somewhere in the last 10 years

But like I mentioned before, after the kids are settled in to their own lives, I'm sure I will have another garage toy.....Hey, I'm a gearhead, I can't help it!

Oh, by the way, the truck price was probably way high for the market even with all the mods, so I lowered it to $9K FIRM, and then if it doesn't sell, then I'll come up with plan "b", but I cannot believe at that price that somebody won't be able to see the value there and buy it soon.

........Time will tell........................
