Did it fit your 08? Magnaflow told me that the 08's had a different y-pipe maker and they quit selling the 06-07 kits for 08's and they were redesigning one for the 08.
why did you remove it?

The part number you listed (16697) shows for a Mega cab with solid front axle only.

It fits, please take a look at a printscreen from Magnaflows own website from about 2min ago. 16697 is still listed at the exhaust sold for the V8 5.7L, Crew/Maga Cab, Short/Long Bed
Solid Front Axle (SFA), 3in System, 3.5in Polished Tips, DUAL REAR EXIT

Correct, 1500 has a IFS, not a SFA.
