no i dont plan on doing any porting....but at some point down the road i plan on getting an offenhouser port-o-sonic intake manifold...
i also picked up some nice M/T valve covers on ebay for $50....

just for the hell of it, here is my 360 when i got the motor, and an after picture of what it looks like now (just finished it up last nite)

hard to believe its the same motor...
so far the motor has, M/T valve covers, perma-cool aluminum flex fan, mopar performance distributor conversion, crane fireball coil, chrome dipstick, and a brand new carter thermo-quad carb

i still need to get:
hooker headers
breathers
oil caps
chrome air cleaner
chrome alternator brackets
chrome plug wire holders
possibly a chrome oil pan
new fuel pump
plug wires
chrome water pump pulley
chrome crank pulley
gold T-handles will be replaced with chrome ones

and still need to:
paint the valve covers (wrinkle black with polished tops)

im also thinking about getting a gear drive set instead of having the timing chain and most likely a cam....but i dont know what all would be needed to install the cam so i need to figure that out...and figure out what kind of cam to get....i just want it to have a lopey idle and not have to change the valves or anything major...any ideas?

i didnt take any "befores" of my motors, as they were both taken apart when i got them...

i did take a picture right after we got it painted up, before it went in...but i cant find the damn things...i have the same valve covers on the demon. were those manifolds hard to remove? what year 360 is it, and from what vehicle?

the manifolds came off without even a single issue

the motor is from a 1974 1-ton dodge ambulance van.....with only 34,000 original miles

i think im going to get the wrinkle paint for the valve covers tomorrow...and the chrome T handles

there was so much grease and oil on the motor when i got it that you couldnt even see the inset sections where the freeze plugs are at...

tomorrow im going to order my headers, new timing chain, valve springs, and maybe pick up a few other parts
