You don't need a reference. However, its very clear that you joined just to make me an offer on this tuner. I learned long ago not to trust people until they give me a reason too, and its simply a question of I don't trust you. Don't take that as an insult... I don't trust anyone until I know them, especially when money is involved. I simply don't know you.
I don't want others joining just to make an offer on stuff for sale here, so no, a PM would not have been better.
