You need a factory cd player or an aftermarket cd player. I have a stock radio but its just tape, no cd player.

Yeah but I've had troubles with Ebay and payin for stuff and not getting it. But that is just a buyer-beware deal. So if you go that route, check to see what their rating is.

I have an 01 Ram with the cd player and cassete it has both. I am not really looking to sell but if the price is right I would be willing to as I've kind of been wanting an aftermarket HU. The only thing that has held me back is the adapter to keep the steering wheel controls is $70.


How much you looking to pay I might take mine out and sell it.

 

hometheater... if yout hink about it... if you get an aftermarket deck...a decent one ..or a decent brand...itll come with a remote control... its a good compromise between the losss of the steering weel controls... i was the same way till i realized that the remote is better anyway... after awhile i fiddeled with the steering weel controls and rewried them to roll my windows up and down..really messes with my passengers head!!!!!

 

Yeah it will have a remote control as my car does also but I find it hard to reach for and find then use while driving I much prefer the simplicity of the steering wheel controls but they do make an adapter to keep them I would probably just buy. I went and looked at a few Hu's today and I really want one with a GPS/DVD player with the flip out screen. Well I liked one with a screen that didn't flip out but none of those will fit in the Dodge dash. I don't want to spend $2k on one though so not sure if I will wait for one of those to come down in price or get a regular aftermarket HU or just keep my stocker. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.
