Yes, with the 180 tstat, the Hypertech is definitely the best mod I have done. I will say that the program didn't really "wake up" until I put in the NAPA 180 thermostat. I would highly suggest doing the tstat at the same time as the Hypertech for the most improvement....

 

i'm wondering if the 5.9 vs 5.2 makes a difference? anyone know? i haven't done any research so i'm just clueless on that. i think it does though. it should anyway.

 

Yea I'm wonderin if that programmer will work on a 5.9. If it does, that programmer is sold!!!

 

that is a good question... i beleive it runs by year make model... but im not 100% sure...

 

The hypertech website does have the programmers by year. 2001 is model #50006 and should cover all Dodge trucks and SUV's that have the 5.9 and 5.2 liter engines

 

Makes no difference if it is a 5.2 or a 5.9, it will work for either as long as it is for the proper model year and vehicle.

 

How much do you want for it? I'm in IL too. Near Rockford, where are you at?
