Hypertech Programmer 3 (03/04 5.7 Hemi) - 50012
Okay I bought is unit from some one who said it would work for an 05 5.7 Hemi.
The 03-04 Part #50012 - The 05 5.7 Hemi number is 50013
The box had the 50012 number, but the tuner had the label with the 50013 number.
It functioned and worked perfectly on a 04. 5.7 Hemi, but will not configure a 05 5.7 hemi.
It seems the 05 Hemi ecu program has a different revision number than the one in this unit.
I called Hypertech and they want me to send it to them so they can reprogram it to a 05 5.7 Hemi at an additional cost.
I honestly do not want to go through that hassle. They told me it works on Hemi, but on mine it wont.
So I am basicly selling it to recoop myself and so I can purchase the right one for an 05.
So if you have a 03/04 5.7 Hemi, This unit will work for your truck. But even though it says 50013, it will not work with a updated bios on a 05.
The person who owned it last had it working immaculately on his truck.
He parted with it to pay some medical bills. In which he regrets because he says his truck is now way slower since it was reprogrammed back to stock.
