I heard JL 12W6 those sound really nice and clean, my friend has 2 of them in his accord, and then Image Dynamics ID MAX V.3, those are nice, but then you have to ask yourself do you need (4) 1000 watt RMS subs and are you willing to pay 1300 for subs + another crapload for an amp(s). And then the final subs I heard were some MTXs that my friend had in his Monte Carlo, I can't tell you how those sound because all he ever did was try to show off and blast them over the music in his car, so I got a bad impression on the whole subwoofer thing from him. But I think JL sound nice and are affordable and won't blow your drums out.
I have 1 10" sub Rockford Fosgate Punch. I have it in the trunk of my Neon, and sounds good for me.

I have 2 10inch Infinity Reference series 1000 watt 10's under the back seat of my 03 quad cab being powered by a sony 1000 watt amp and, even with a lesser powered head unit and stock mid's my system sounds great, not competition worthy but good enough
it's not really bass boom sound, there is some boom but it's mainly just loud crisp sound

My late 3 cents...
Really, I'm not plugging a company or spamming, I'm just a mobile audiophile who happens to be new to the forum. I have been using, installing, building custom enclosures and configuring car audio since 1991. These subs are 1/2 the price and on the same playing field as the W7. I know I like to save money, and I'm sure most of you do, too, so I am just pointing these out.
There are even video clips to watch; one of which the guy splits the metal door frame of his van from hitting 170+ dBs.

The company orrigionated and grew from home audio fanatics/engineers that designed and built car audio products.
For the flat BL, low distortion (lower than virtually anything on the market), exceedingly long cone movement, these audiophile class subs are going to be the best bang for the buck.
